Ycam Wi-Fi Baby Monitor

CATEGORY: Gadget News | SOURCE:

Even though I have children of my own, I haven’t really invested in a baby monitor. I really ought to, because they have some fancy ones with video cameras now for a low price. When I was a baby, the only baby monitors with video cameras were several hundred dollars each.

The Ycam Wi-Fi Baby monitor is certainly a whole lot cheaper, as it uses the inexpensive video technology that is common on webcams everywhere. The Ycam is designed to hook up with the user’s own Wi-Fi network, and it is able to take high quality video with sound. It can shoot in 30fps with 640 x 480 pixel resolution.

The Ycam has infrared night vision, so you can see your little babies even in the dark. Another special feature is the motion detection system that will alert you with email. There is also an option for MPEG-4 compression for reduced bandwith and storage. It is possible to view from many devices including laptops, even the iPhone.

The WiFi connectivity makes it possible for multiple client users. So now the relatives can see the little baby in the crib from anywhere, provided they have the password protection. Not to mention all the parents who can view their children online while they are away.

You should be able to get the Ycam Wi-Fi Baby Monitor on the BabyMonitorsDirect website for about £149.99.
