Nokia launches mobile software to deliver critical social services
Nokia announced a new software solution, called Nokia Data Gathering, to deliver critical social services like disease outbreaks or disaster relief. Can be used to create tailored questionnaires and distribute them to multiple mobile phones, it will be available to public sector organizations and NGOs free of charge.
As a pilot project, the Amazonas State Health Department in Brazil will use it as part of its fight against dengue fever in the city of Manaus in Northern Brazil.
