GPS Mirror watches out for you

Your rear view mirror is certainly an important point of reference whenever you drive a vehicle, but at times it becomes a liability to you since it has blind spots (for certain vehicle makes) and cheaper versions do not come with an anti-glare coating, blinding you momentarily whenever the driver behind follows you at a certain distance. The GPS Mirror goes the extra mile when it comes to watching out for you, pro-actively seeking out potential hazards thanks to the technology that comes with each purchase.

The GPS Mirror boasts the highly touted SiRFStar III GPS chipset that is extremely accurate, and relies on that very GPS chip to check it’s position against an on-board database which contains data on common mobile cameras, fixed locations of speed traps, and even accident black spots. Whenever you approach one of these triple threats, the GPS Mirror will issue a warning. In addition, it also displays your heading as well as speed and gives you another warning should you be driving far too fast for your own safety.

Placing all these functionalities into your rear view mirror is a pure stroke of genius. After all, a thief must be pretty desperate to steal a mirror, right? It is prudent, though, to hardwire the power cord to the cigarette lighter for a less inconspicuous look. The GPS Mirror boasts visual, spoken, and audible camera alerts in addition to 10 different kinds of GPS camera warnings and 8 different GPS advisory warnings. The database can be updated via an Internet connection. For $300, the GPS Mirror sounds like a pretty good investment since you can’t place a value on human life.
