Clarion unveils new in-car CD receiver that does MP3s

CATEGORY: Gadget News | SOURCE:

clarion-dxz778rusb.jpgGetting entertained by music is something most people enjoy, which explains the immense popularity of portable music devices such as Walkmans from the 80s to Discmans in the 90s and portable media players that we see being carried around by everyday Joes today. Car audio is finally catching up with this new format of digital music, with Clarion offering an in-car CD receiver that boasts signal restoration which helps you get the best sound quality possible from compressed MP3, AAC, and WMA files. Not only that, this new in-car CD receiver also features a USB cable that enables you to listen to tunes directly from USB storage devices like flash drives and USB-based memory card readers.

The Clarion DXZ778RUSB boasts a first class 24-bit D/A Converter, complete with Time Alignment Control, Digital Z-Enhancer sound customization and Sound Restorer technology to enrich the playback of all types of music files which have already been given the compression treatment. This technology enables one to recreate lost frequencies up to 20kHz while the 4-channel (53 watts each) amplification will be able to generate a more dynamic, well-balanced audio reproduction.

Features of the Clarion DXZ778RUSB include an LCD with 728 variable color key display which is boosted by a clear 13-segment, 2-line display window that is easy to read for everyone in the vehicle. Clarion will be offering the DXZ778RUSB for £249 when it is released in the near future. Looks like car audio enthusiasts have yet another mid-range solution to choose from.
