There is a fine line between a geek and a nerd. While to some, the two words describe socially inept people that happen to be too smart for their own good. In my opinion a nerd is more obsessive about technical knowledge and sets it above all else, including social activities. They are generally the ones you think of that wear their pants too high, a pocket protector and a pair of broken glasses.
